Barbed Wire Tattoo

LOCATIONS FOR BARBED WIRE TATTOOS

One of the most common and in-demand designs for tattoos is that of barbed wire, which has appeal to both men and women.  What makes barbed wires so interesting to people is their inherent ability to wrap around areas, most commonly the arms and ankles of an individual.

But while the arms and ankles are the most common location for barbed wire tattoos in general, barbed wire tattoos can, in fact, be accommodated in other body parts and created in a way that they are strikingly attractive.

There is a bondage quality to barbed wire tattoos that draws people to them, giving them a sense of feeling like they are “locking in” someone or something.

ON THE WRIST

When opting to get a barbed wire tattoo around one’s wrist, it is important to bear in mind that nowadays, more and more business companies and establishments are not fond of or in favor of tattoos being visible in their employees.

Oftentimes, this can be the very cause of employers laying off applicants in their companies.  because of this, one might want to decide against getting a barbed wire tattoo on a different part of the body, unless of course this individual is willing to obscure or conceal the wrist tattoo by wearing long sleeved tops or accessories to keep it covered on a regular basis.

ON THE BACK

Because the back has the widest surface and therefore room for tattoo application, it is a great area to consider getting any creative or conceptual tattoo done, including barbed wire, which is often limited only to areas like the wrists, ankles or arms.

Barbed wire tattoos applied on the back have the liberty of being very different and unconventional compared to most others of the same design.  When on the back, barbed wire designs can be made in combination with other complimentary elements such as chains, roses, or anything requested by the tattoo customer.

Again, because the back spans a wide surface of the body, barbed wire tattoos can, here, extend anywhere from the nape to the cheeks of one’s buttocks.

ON THE NECK AND WAIST

In keeping with old traditional placement, barbed wire tattoos can very well fit on a person’s neck and waist areas.  The neck is capable of showcasing an apparent necklace of barbed wire, just as the hips and waist have often been known to do.

Needless to say, a barbed wire tattoo on one’s neck stands more of a chance of being regularly visible than a barbed wire tattoo on one’s waist or hips.
