There are a number of different places where tattoos can be applied on anyone’s body, but the more common locations include the ankle, back, chest area, arms and the like.
There are a number of various designs that can be selected when considering getting a tattoo done anytime and anywhere. Traditionally, some of the designs chosen are the butterfly, religious names or icons, names of people, meaningful words, or other elements of personal importance to an individual.
One of the more popular designs chosen nowadays is that of the bird tattoo. Birds are selected both for their aesthetic vibrance and colorful appearance as well as the belief of people of what they may stand for. A phoenix, for instance, is a symbolic image of a flaming bird rising out of the ashes, and one might want to get a phoenix tattooed on himself or herself in order to mark a point in his or her life when adversity was overcome greatly.
There are two ways in which a tattoo is applied. The first is that of the permanent application. This entails the use of a tattoo gun which has one or more needles. The needles are known to puncture the skin and inject ink of different colors into its outer surface at least 50 times per minute.
When making the consideration of getting this method done, one must be absolutely sure of his choice, because removal of this permanent tattoo will involve expensive laser procedures and equipment.
The second method of tattoo application is temporary and does not use needles or a tattoo gun. Instead, temporary application makes use of a Middle Eastern dye made from botanical Henna, the designs of which can last for a few weeks when stained on the skin’s surface.
In selecting one’s tattoo artist, a person should make sure to properly canvas by making trips to different tattoo parlors or by simply asking more learned, experienced friends or acquaintances to make reliable referrals. In order to achieve the best results with any tattoo, the tattoo artist should be experienced and reputable at what he or she does.
There is a multitude of bird designs that anyone can choose from nowadays, some of which include the eagle, swallow, phoenix, firebird and others. Each bird stands for a different thing, and a person has the liberty of selecting which one works best for him.
The eagle, for example, conveys a sense of pride and majestic nature. One who would like to depict this in himself or herself would, therefore, probably settle for a bird tattoo design that has to do with an eagle.
