    it’s true. Vasoline ate the color out of my tattoo… it was a black and grey tattoo when I 1st got it done, but Vasoline turned it into a blue tattoo..

    =/

    I’ve been getting inked now for 8 years and the first thing i was told at 18 was “never, ever use vasaline on your tattoo”. I didn’t follow that advice 2 years ago on my sleeve and my bright colors turned dull. Looked like I’ve had it for 20 years without a touch up. I spent more money a year later getting it re-touched. Don’t use vaseline aka petroleum jelly you will regret it.

    @fadyallday

    normally they put wrap only when you leave the tattoo shop , you wait like 1 to 2 hours before you wash it , After you wash it , you don’t have to put a wrap anymore , just put vaseline (with no alcohol in it) for 2 weeks , and you’ll be fine

    Never put anything that’s oil based on your healing tattoo. As well, never put saran wrap over a new tattoo.

    I recommend three things: Aquaphor, fragrance-free liquid soap, and Curel Fragrence-free lotion.

    @btchplzholla well just using common logic on this, most doctors will never get, certain life threatening diseases, yet they can cure them…or tell you how to cure them.

    case in point, just because you dont engage in something doesnt mean you cant learn something.

    theres a reason bill gates was a school dropout, but is one if not the richest guy around. go figure. another guy who didnt engage in higher education, but makes the most money cause he learned how to.

    just sayin….

    Only an idiot would use a lufa on a fresh new tattoo, you will force up a scab. Luke warm water, anti bacterial soap and your clean hands are best

    Honestly theres a million different ways to care for a tattoo. And they all work. My advice, just use regular old soap whether it be fragrance or none fragrance (ive never had a problem with it burning) and just regular lotion. the problem ive had with oil and creme based ointments, they pretty much just sit on top of your tattoo and makes a mess with clothes.
