boil or bacterial pockets can be painful red, or contain pus which obviously will be visible from the discharge and or blood. hypertrophic scars just form around the exit hole. they are not painful all it is a slight bump (i got one and i’m treating it with as the video said sea salt water with 1/4-1/8 sea salt-un idionized). last are the scariest of all the keloid ones :O these i don’t think i recommend doing anything yourself just go directly to the doctor.and they will make it all betta! : )

The way she said “I hope you feel better” was so comforting that i sort of wanted to hug her, does anybody else feel that way? I’m having terrible piercing-boil problems, and I’m in intense pain, and for some reason her saying that made me smile. :)

@sexyguttachick89 yeah it did quiet a bit. after the piercing has healed you can also use alcohol. but not early stages because it kills cells that help heal the skin and regenerate faster. no peroxide mixed with h20 either. i personally took mine out i have piereced it 4 times now lol but i’m just a fussy person i can’t stand that as cute as it looked on my cartilage : ) good luck and peace♥! (ps if you deciede to take out use only alcohol on it to make the bump dissappear).

@LxtinxBonitx yes and no. boils and abscesses are often red and painful. they will sometimes puss when put into a salt water soak and are probably your culprit if you’re still healing your piercing. hypertrophic scarring occurs most often with a cartilage piercing and is a hard bump the same colour of your skin. keloids are crazy nuts and move beyond the piercing site. you’d know if you had a keloid, and really, they aren’t that common. however, they are often purple or reddish in colour.
