Tattoo Aftercare: Day One
A tattoo aftercare tutorial for MOD @ VF. I’ll be documenting the aftercare process at important times for the next two weeks. Yes, I am aware that a) my bed is messy, b) I make a lot of weird faces, and c) I said “leech” instead of “leak” a couple of times. Big deal.

Many tattoo shops ask that your tattoo be washed with a Dial like soap and pat dry with paper towels…your method skips the actual light wash down and just a pat down wash with a wet paper towel. Why? Is there a Pro to your way?? Thanks. Great video, I like with out the edit.
Hahaha protect it from your shirt.. and glass. man, this was a good video ((: it helpped alot tysm
@canadagirleh I’ve never heard of someone saying to use a soap on a fresh tattoo. In fact, I usually hear “NO SOAP FOR YOU.” Soap can dry it out, leading to more itchyness and flaking, and messing with the tattoo too much can draw out ink. If possible, you should really just rinse off a tattoo in the sink or bathtub without soap or washcloth or anything, and then pat dry.
@cherry0202 No problem! Sorry that I haven’t uploaded any more yet, the connection at my house is very unreliable and it takes me around six hours to upload…
@canadagirleh
Thanks for that….I didn’t use soap either!
@heraldfrankenstein Oh it’s no big deal
i just got my first tattoo 2 days ago, and my tattoo artist told me to wash it right when i got home, and then put lotion on it. like lubridurm or whatever. As far as like, the lotion, should i be applying it every hour or so to keep it moist? I feel so clueless D: lol, and i love you tattoo btw! what does it say? (:
@cherry0202 Just enough to keep it moist. My chestpiece is a Stargate tribute in a steampunk style, it says “DEVS EX MACHINA.” I’m a nerd.
@heraldfrankenstein haha Naah man that’s cool!!
i like it alot
