    I used bepanthen for my two tattoos. My second one is now like two weeks old and looks good because of it.
    And they’re all good tips.

    biggest and best tip…. Leave it alone!

    No special soaps or creams… The body will do its job and heal it naturally!

    @Gothtecdotcom you’re ment to put cream on it! Tattoos ‘left alone’ end up with faded ink where the scabs have cracked etc.
    Please don’t post bad advice!

    @toxicpanda used to work at a tattooist I was forever giving out advice about body mods… The reason you don’t us any strong creams is that you can rub infection into the wound…

    @Gothtecdotcom bad advice at that! All tattooists advise using bepanthen as well as washing the tattoo gently with anti bacterial soap to avoid infection.
    I also used to work in the body mod industry as a piercer in a tattoo studio as well as going to lots of studios for work. ALL of them advise using some sort of cream (wether its bepanthen, tattoo goo etc) to keep the tattoo moist but not overly moist. its perfect healing conditions for a nice bright healthy tattoo.

    @Gothtecdotcom Taken from BME:
    Allowing Tattoos to dry prolongs the healing time, producing a dry scab and loss of ink.

    Clinical studies have demonstrated that wounds moistened with ointment heal faster, produce less dry scabbing and consequently keeps more Tattoo ink in the skin which heal brighter and sharper looking.
