Tattoo Healing – Day 9 – Scab City
It is an itchy mofo right now. And feels weird. Cannot wait to be able to shave over it again. I’ve forgotten to mention, I was with cold to warm water and detol hand soap every morning, night and sometimes during the day. Then I moisturise with Vaseline dry skin lotion, which contains vitamins A, E and B5

I have just had my wrists done and have healed nicely. Am going to get my outer ankle done. Am not a wimp just enquiring does it hurt much? Stupid question I know! I love the design by the way!!
@Numaness Hah, no, no, it’s not stupid. It does hurt a fair bit more than the wrist because the bone is so much closer to the skin at that point. But it is still bearable. I have a video of getting it done and I’m wincing and stuff, but you can see I’m not in any great agony. You’ll be fine
Thank you for your reply! I am wondering whether to have it at back of ankle or side like yours. I will have a look at your vid. We all have a different pain thresholds don’t we.
@Numaness We do. And mine isn’t very good, so if I can handle it, pretty much everyone else can. I wanted mine further back to avoid the bone, but he put the stencil on and it looked weird, so I let him put it right in the centre (like he was suggesting the whole time) and it looked so much better. It sucks, but on that area because of the shape the bone makes it means any tattoo will look pretty much crooked if it doesn’t run along the bone.
A new tattoo should never peel, flake, or worse scab over. All of these reactions are pulling ink out. It happens when you let it dry out. Keep it simple. use Preparation H on new tattoos and wrap with plastic wrap. The will heal in about 4 or 5 days. No itching or swelling. I have 25 hours worth of work and worked in a tattoo studio.
that is really pretty …
@carrieluvv Thank you very much
That tattooist did a lovely job.
