What is the best way to design your own tattoo?
Is there a certain photoshop that I can get a free trial of to help me design tattoos?
Or does anyone have any ideas for a sleeve? I already have a Sailor Jerry anchor on my left forearm. I am getting a gypsy girl on my upper left arm this weekend. I want to stick with old school designs. Let me know if you have any tips, ideas, or anything! It could all help and be appreciated. Thanks!
None that I’m aware of. It all comes out of your artist’s brain and onto paper.
Either draw it out roughly or find some similar ideas on line. Let your artist know what style you want and see what they come up with. If you don’t like what they drew up they can always change it for you.

Go on yahoo or google image search. Find a bunch of things you want and bring it to your tattoo artist. If your artist is good, he’ll be able to draw something on paper based on what you brought him.
How I did mine was I brainstormed ideas of what I wanted (bird, flower, quotes, what have you). Then I google image searched for images until I found something that popped out at me. THEN I took it to friends who could draw, told them my vision and asked them to draw up an example. It’s worked for me. If you don’t have any friends that can draw, you can always find images and take them to your tattoo artist and work with them to create a design unique to you.
Tattoos are supposed to be an extension of yourself…not just some random tatt you saw in a magazine….Get something that means something to you….NOT A DOLPHIN!!! Girls who get dolphin tattoos only get them because they love PENIS!!!! Think about it…both are smooth skin and almost slimy-like when wet…..how else can you explain why girls gets dolphin ink done?
Well, I drew a rough sketch of the type of tattoo I wanted and brought it in to the tattoo artist and he tweaked the sketch pretty good and it came out better than I had expected…hope this helps!
