What kinda of tattoo design should i get?

I’m still underage to get one but I’m still trying to convince my mom.
I don’t want one for the heck of it.
My grandma passed away when I was a freshman in high school (almost 2 years in February)
So I was thinking of doing a small tat on my wrist incorporating her middle name Lee.

Any ideas on what kinda designs?

Thanks

Something meaningful that reminds you of your grandmother. My sister has knitting needles and "grandma" written with the yarn on her ankle. Also wait till your 18, stop bothering your mother.

If you come on here to ask random people about a tattoo that is going to be on YOUR body for the rest of your life, than you simply aren’t mature enough to get a tattoo.

Honestly, your going to ask a bunch of people you never met before what should permanently go onto your body?

Yeah, your definitely not mature enough to have a tattoo….

Choosing a tattoo should be a thorough process. They are intended to be forever, and removal is expensive. The more planning that goes into your design of choice, the more likely that you will enjoy your tattoo later in life.

Be happy with what design you have on your body.
Find a design that has meaning for you.
Stay away from the art (known as "flash") shown in the studios except as inspiration. It is better to go with a unique and original design than a mass market design
Find an artist or designer and ask them to make a custom design for you. Many tattoo artists are also conventional artists, or can at least reproduce a traditional drawing, sketch or painting onto your skin.
Find a style that you especially like, and an artist that works in that style. Most artists will do what you want, but also excel in certain "looks." Check portfolios, and compare the different styles: old school, new school, naturalistic, Asian, black and white, etc

you should get Lee with a dove under your wrist.

Why are you asking us? We aren’t the ones getting the tattoo. You will be the one to live with it. Get something meaningful to you, not people on Yahoo Answers.

You can wait and plan your tattoo, see that you really like the idea for some time before you actually get it.

There is this nice little method that helps you design an original tattoo (without actually designing it yourslef).
You can get the guide for this method (along with some free tattoo designs) here – http://tattooholic.com/free-tattoo-designs
