What's the best tattoo shop in Hawaii?

I just turned 18 so I’m looking to get a tattoo here pretty soon. If you have any experience with tattoo shops here in hawaii then feel free to share. Thanks.

Back in the day it was China Seas on Smith Street in Honolulu. This was Sailor Jerry Collins’ shop that was taken over by Mike Malone in the 70′s. Unfortunately, both Jerry & Mike are no longer with us, and the shop is closed. Skin Deep in Waikiki has a great reputation and has been industry leaders for decades. Where ever you decide to go, be sure to check the artists portfolios to find a great artist, and be sure the shop is a clean & sterile environment. Don’t price shop, or you’ll end up getting hacked by some kitchen magician. Quality art is expensive, so shop accordingly.

Stay out of them. They’ll give you a tattoo of a volcano on your *ss when you’re drunk

Well, I suppose that depends on which Island you are on, but when I was in Waikiki, I got a tattoo at a shop called A Tiki Tattoo from a guy named Paulo. He did a pretty damn good job. Good luck!!
